Toy fruit in a net - plastic fruit for play kitchen and shop

Description

This is a net of imitation fruit in plastic, the kind used in a play kitchen or a toy shop. The card at the top says only 'Fruit'. The net holds a mixture of pieces: a pineapple, a pear, an apple, an orange, a tomato and a bunch of grapes among others. It is a toy and not food.

The fruit is plastic and keeps the colours of the real thing. Children mostly use it to play shop - laying it out, putting it in a basket, ringing it up - and in a play kitchen it disappears into the pan, onto a plate or into the fridge.

It is handy for practising names and colours too: which fruit is this, what colour is it, which two go together. Because it is loose fruit and not a set game with rules, the child decides what happens with it.

A small, cheap present, and a logical addition if there is already a play kitchen, a market stall or a till in the house.
