Cutting fruit play set - 9 toy fruits, board and knife

Description

Nine plastic fruits in a shaped tray, among them an apple, an orange, a slice of watermelon, a pear, a bunch of grapes, a strawberry, a green melon and a banana, with a yellow cutting board and a toy knife. Each piece is made of two halves that the knife separates and that press back together afterwards.

For a child, cutting fruit is the sort of work grown-ups do and that is finally allowed. The banana goes through, the melon goes through, everything goes through, and then everyone at the table gets to taste something that is not there. It suits a toy kitchen or a play shop and works just as well on the floor.

The fruit is moulded in bright colours and sits behind a window in the box. The range is called Fruit Cut; no age marking is printed on this packaging.

Together with the cutting vegetables from the same range it makes a whole toy kitchen's worth of work, and on its own it is a present that lands with just about any child.
