Toy shopping trolley - metal frame with fabric basket

Description

This trolley is a smaller version of the one from the supermarket, made to be pushed around for real. The frame is silver-coloured metal, the push bar has a dark blue foam grip, and four swivel castors sit underneath.

A fabric basket rests in the frame, with two folding carry handles. The fabric is grey with a pattern of pink, fuchsia, light blue and white circles and rings, with the odd little flower here and there; the edging and the handles are dark blue. An open rack runs under the basket, just as on a real shopping trolley.

Doing the shopping is rewarding pretend play: riding down the aisle, filling the basket, paying at the till and putting everything away again at home. The rack underneath is exactly where the heavy things belong, the way children see their parents do it.

You receive the trolley itself, without toy groceries or any other accessories.
