Form 4 - four in a row with red and yellow discs

Description

Form 4 is the classic four in a row in a version of its own. The blue grid counts seven columns and six rows and stands upright between the two supports of a red stand. Round discs in red and yellow come with the game.

Two players each take a colour and drop a disc into a column in turn; it falls to the lowest free place. Whoever first gets four discs of their colour next to one another - horizontally, vertically or diagonally - wins the round. Because you are building your own row while watching the other player's, it stays tense to the last disc.

At the bottom of the frame are two sliders marked OPEN and CLOSE. Open them and all the discs drop out at once, so you can start again straight away. The box states 3+, and carries the subtitle 'Develop the intelligence'.

A game for the kitchen table or the holiday suitcase: the rules take a minute to explain, a round lasts a few minutes, and young and old can play each other.
