Clementoni Interactive Globe - Reading Pen, Augmented Reality

Description

This interactive globe from Clementoni sits in a transparent bracket that lights up as soon as you switch it on. You operate it with an optical reading pen: pick one of the thirteen game activities, tap a country with the pen, and the speaker tells you what you asked for.

There is plenty to ask. Country and territory, capital, area, population, relief, time zone and all kinds of curiosities are listed as categories on the base. On top of that come more than 500 quiz questions across three difficulty levels, so the globe lasts a good few years.

An augmented reality app goes with the globe. Point your tablet or smartphone at it and three-dimensional animals and monuments from around the world appear; the app also has an adventure mode and a quiz game.

The box states from 7 years. A present the whole family gathers around at the table, and one that stays out in the room instead of disappearing into the toy cupboard.
