Waterfall Park - negotiation game for 3 to 5 players

Description

Waterfall Park from Repos Production is a board game in which negotiating is the main event. You build an amusement park on towers in the middle of the ocean, and the pieces you need are rarely yours: they sit with the others at the table.

Each round you are dealt plots and attraction tiles, and then the haggling starts. You trade cards, tiles and coins, you promise something for the next round, and you hope the rest keep that promise - because they do not have to. Whoever finishes an attraction makes it earn money. The game runs over four rounds; after that the player with the most money wins.

The box holds 1 game board, 78 location cards, 72 attraction tiles, 1 summary tile, 120 bases (24 per colour), 1 round marker, 100 coins and the rules. A game takes about 45 minutes according to the publisher. Repos Production states the game is intended for ages 8 and up.

Waterfall Park is a new edition of Chinatown, made shorter and more approachable. It suits families and groups of friends who enjoy talking, trading and trying to win each other over - and who do not lose sleep when a deal turns out differently afterwards.
