Jungle animals floor puzzle - 48 jumbo pieces, from 3 years

Description

This floor puzzle has 48 jumbo pieces: large pieces cut to the size of small hands. The picture is a cheerful jungle gathering, with a full-maned lion in the middle and around him an elephant, a zebra, a leopard, a hippo, a giraffe, a monkey swinging through the branches, an owl on a branch and a toucan.

A floor puzzle is laid out on the floor rather than at the table, so there is room enough and several children can join in at once. Forty-eight is a manageable number for a preschooler, and the drawing is made up of large, clearly outlined blocks of colour.

The box is teal and has a handle on top, so the whole thing looks like a little case: handy for keeping the pieces in and for taking the puzzle to the grandparents. The front reads ANIMAL - Jumbo Floor Puzzle, 48 jumbo pieces and ages 3+.

A fine gift for a child of about three who is just starting on puzzles and for whom animals are the favourite subject. Together with the farmyard version from the same range they make an obvious pair.
