Chichén Itzá puzzle, step pyramid in Mexico - 1000 pieces

Description

The box contains one 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle. The image shows the step pyramid of Chichén Itzá on the Yucatán peninsula, with the broad stairway at the front and the temple on top, under a sky full of orange and pink cloud in low sunlight.

The pyramid itself is the easy part: crisp diagonals, clearly drawn steps and warm stone-coloured light. The sky above it is the opposite and takes up nearly half the image - that is where most of the time goes.

The side panel states 1000 pieces and a finished size of 50 x 68 cm. The individual pieces measure 2.5 x 3 cm. The box carries the WoW Brands logo, the series name Landmarks Collection and the Puzzle Special Edition seal.

A fitting gift for anyone fond of Central American history, or for the puzzler who enjoys an image with a strong sky in it.
