Fairground duck with metal ring - hook-a-duck, colour may vary

Description

A duck for the classic game of hook-a-duck: sturdy plastic, with a metal ring on top of its head that the hook of a little rod drops straight into. The duck measures around 6.5 by 7 centimetres.

The game is as old as the funfair itself. Fill a tub, a bath or a paddling pool, let the ducks float and fish them out again one by one. Whoever lands the most in a minute wins; for the youngest, chasing them round with a kitchen sieve is game enough.

The flat base keeps the duck upright in the water so the ring stays within reach of the hook. You order per piece and so decide yourself how many ducks go into the tub. The colour varies: the photo shows a green, a light blue, a yellow and a red one.

A cheap component for a home-made funfair stall at a garden party, a school fête or a birthday, and in between a duck that does perfectly well in the bath.
