Didak Play Four in a Row - wooden game, 60x48x22 cm

Description

The classic four in a row, but in wood and on a generous scale. The rack stands on two triangular feet and holds seven columns of six slots. The game comes with 42 wooden discs: 21 red and 21 black.

Two players pick a colour and take turns dropping a disc into a column. The first to get four discs of their own colour in a row - horizontally, vertically or diagonally - wins. The good part is that you are not only building your own row: mostly you have to see the other player's row coming and block it in time.

Set up, the game measures 60 x 48 x 22 cm and weighs a good three kilos, so it stays where you put it. Rack, feet and discs are wooden; the discs are finished in red and black.

That size means it plays as well on the floor or in the garden as it does on a table. The rules take one sentence to explain, so a first game needs hardly any introduction.
