This is inspiration book number 17 in the Hama series: 40 pages of ready-made motifs for maxi iron-on beads, Hama's largest bead size, 10 mm across. The book measures 21 x 23 cm and holds patterns only; beads and pegboards are bought separately.

Working from the book takes no counting and no copying out. You flip to a motif you like, lay the maxi pegboard over it and put the beads on the pins colour by colour. The cover already gives away part of what is inside: a butterfly, a panda, a little horse, a car, a rocking horse, a boat, a ship and a pumpkin.

The booklet belongs to the maxi line, the chunky beads small fingers can pick up and press onto the board without trouble. If there is already a maxi set at home and the examples that came with it have run out, this is a simple way to add dozens of motifs, and a small, affordable gift to go with a bead set.
