Muy Pop SpeakerBox AMP Black - induction speaker for your phone

Description

This SpeakerBox from Didak Play is a cardboard speaker finished like an old guitar amp: black with gold, a perforated grille, printed dials reading 'turn on' and 'tune in', and '24 Hr Party People' along the side. Top right sits a knob that really does turn, marked 'volume'.

There is nothing to set up. Play music on your smartphone, stand the handset in the recess at the front and the box amplifies the sound by magnetic induction. No Bluetooth, no cable between phone and speaker. The box puts it this way: play your music, put it in the speaker, and it is magic.

The amplification runs on 3 AA batteries, which are not included, or from a USB cable. It suits most phones with a speaker on the outside; since every handset has that in a different place, you look for the position where the sound comes through best.

A present for someone who likes their music heard, and a retro piece that does not look out of place on a desk or a bookshelf.
