Ketnet #LikeMe SpeakerBox - induction speaker for your phone

Description

This SpeakerBox from Didak Play carries the livery of #LikeMe, the Ketnet series: a blue ghetto blaster with two yellow speaker cones, an equaliser print and a photo of the cast on the side. The packaging reads 'Copyright 2020 Ketnet'. Top right sits a real volume knob.

Using it is simple. Put music on your phone, lay the handset in the recess at the front and the box amplifies the sound by magnetic induction. The box says so itself in three languages: play your music, put it in the speaker, and it is magic. Pairing over Bluetooth or a cable to your phone does not come into it.

The amplification needs 3 AA batteries, not included; with a USB cable the box can also be mains-powered. It works with most handsets that have a speaker on the outside, and since that sits somewhere different on every phone, you shuffle it about until the sound is right.

A recognisable present for a fan of the series, and a speaker that stands out at once in a child's room.
