Glass marbles in a screw-top jar - from 3 years

Description

A jar of glass marbles with a screw cap that simply goes back on after play. Through the clear wall you can already see what is inside: green, red and blue, with the familiar coloured vanes running through the glass.

Marbles is one of the few games that needs nothing set up beforehand. A sloping stretch of path, a dip in the sand or a line on the paving is enough, and the rest is about aiming, swapping and arguing over who actually hit what. The jar goes with you to the playground and comes home again.

The label reads 'For ages 3 and up' and carries the number NO.1676; how many marbles the jar holds and how big they are, the packaging does not say. The jar itself is clear plastic with an orange screw cap.

One of those presents worth keeping in the house for a birthday party or a rainy Wednesday afternoon.
