Didak Beach Potstaart - yellow tube kite

Description

The Didak Beach Potstaart is a tube kite: a series of fabric rings strung one after another on a single line. As wind catches each ring, it holds its shape, and together they form a long yellow tube that ripples behind the flying line like a tail.

The toy weighs just 0.05 kg and folds down to a small package of about 31 x 15.5 x 3 cm, so it easily fits into a beach bag or backpack. On the beach or in an open field, just a little wind is enough to make it billow and dance.

No frame is needed: the shape comes entirely from the airflow, which keeps the whole thing light and easy to handle while still tracing an impressively long ribbon through the air.

A fun gift for anyone who loves playing outdoors and colourful kites; thanks to its compact folded size, it also makes a handy extra kite for a beach holiday or day out.
