Description

The set is made up of 26 square EVA foam tiles, each holding one letter of the alphabet. All four sides have puzzle tabs, so the tiles slide together in any direction: a row down the hallway, a square in the corner, or one large mat across the whole play area.

Every letter is a separate piece that lifts out of its tile. That turns the mat into a game as well: push the letters out, mix them up and find the right spot again, or spell out a name together. The tiles come in yellow, purple, orange, blue, red and turquoise among others, so sorting by colour is an option too.

Foam is light and has some give. The tiles are comfortable to sit on or crawl over, they take the chill off a cold floor, and after playing you simply stack them again. The whole thing is light enough to take to grandma's or up to the playroom.

A classic for a first play corner, and a toy that grows along with the child: first a soft surface to play on, later the material for hunting letters and spelling out names together.
