Didak Pool Giant Skull air mattress - 165 x 125 cm

Description

The box calls this one Giant Skull, with 'Skull Flower Power' printed just underneath, and that sums it up: an inflatable mattress in the shape of a skull, but the exuberantly decorated Mexican kind. The white is painted over with red curls, turquoise petals, purple hearts and a row of drawn-on teeth.

The eye sockets and the nose are real holes through the mattress, which makes the silhouette instantly recognisable out on the water. The broad middle panel is where you lie; the shape runs out into the curve of the crown at one end and the jawline at the other.

The size icon on the front of the box gives 165 x 125 x 13 cm, so it is wider and shorter than an ordinary air bed. Inflate it with a pump or by mouth; afterwards let the air out and fold it away small. A repair patch is included.

A pool float that stands out in the photographs, and does the same at a Halloween or Dia de los Muertos party.
