Labyrinth - wooden maze game with 36 numbered holes

Description

A classic maze game in pale wood. The playing surface is slung in a wooden frame and tilts in two directions: the knob at the front takes it forwards and backwards, the knob at the side takes it left and right. A black route is printed on the surface from START to FINISH, with 36 numbered holes along the way.

You set the steel ball on the starting point and try to roll it along the line without dropping it into a hole. When it does drop, the number tells you straight away how far you got. That is what turns it into a contest against your own previous attempt.

The box calls it 'the solitaire game of skill': a game for one player that comes down to fine control in every direction. It is wood, no battery or screen is involved, and it is ready on the table as soon as you lift it out.

A gift for a child who likes getting the knack of something, and a game that the adults at the same table will try just as readily. The box gives the age as 'For ages 6 and up'.
