LEGO Icons 10358 Transformers Soundwave - 1,505 pieces

Description

Set 10358 from the LEGO Icons range builds Soundwave, the Decepticon who took the shape of a cassette player in the original Transformers series. The model runs to 1,505 pieces and stands 33 cm tall in robot mode.

The transformation is the point: the model goes from robot to cassette player and back without anything having to be taken apart. The lid of the cassette compartment opens, and Ravage and Laserbeak - which fold into cassettes themselves - each fit inside separately. Behind the play button sits a sound brick with recorded voice and sound effects.

A missile launcher, a laser blaster and darts come with it, plus a plaque of power statistics to stand beside the model. The joints are poseable, so you set him in an attitude instead of bolt upright on the shelf.

LEGO gives the set an age of 18 and over: this is a building project and a display piece, not a toy for the playroom. Meant for someone who grew up with the original series and likes to keep looking at it afterwards.
