The Magic Cube comes on a blister card carrying the line The perfect mind exercise. You get a 3 by 3 cube with a white body and coloured facelets: the cube everyone knows, in the compact format of 5.8 cm per side.

The principle has not changed. You turn the layers out of order and then try to get every side back to a single colour. Some children learn a fixed method by heart, others just turn away until one face works out and go on from there. There are no turns to take and no opponent needed, so it works as well alone as together.
