Petra puzzle, rock-cut facade in Jordan - 1000 pieces

Description

This puzzle from the Landmarks Collection by WOW Games also has 1000 pieces and carries the 'Puzzle - Special Edition' seal on the box. The image is Petra in Jordan: a broad facade hewn directly out of the rock wall, with columns, dark niches, a rounded crown and a stone urn at the top.

The sandstone is also the challenge. Many pieces sit in related ochres and red-browns, so you sort mainly by shape and by the shadow lines of the columns. The blue sky and the pitch-dark openings in the facade give you something to hold on to in between.

The box measures 30 x 5 x 30 cm and lies flat in a cupboard or under a bed.

A puzzle for anyone happy to spend several evenings on one, and a good gift for people who love to travel.
